Tata Play Binge+ Netflix 90 Bundle Packs in India:
You must have known that you can control the smartphone from
your laptop like sending text messages, reply Whatsapp, look for photos, etc
but if I rephrase it and say that you can control your laptop from your
smartphone from anywhere in the world and it is free also. (P.S: Just make sure
your PC/Laptop is turned on and connected to the internet which is the same
case in controlling smartphone from your PC/laptop) So let's know how to
control your laptop from your smartphone. There are many third-party apps also
which provide this service but I will tell you about a service which is of
Google. Go to the website on your PC/Laptop “www.remotedesktop.google.com”,
(make sure to open it in a chrome browser) use the cursor to go a little down
on the page and click “Get Started”. The website will show a pop-up down right
corner stating to Install the software, you drag the cursor on the right and go
at the bottom of the webpage, you will see an icon, on a line an arrow facing
downwards, just click on it and another page opens and then click on “Add to
chrome” and the moment you click a dialogue box appears then click “Add the extension” and a download starts taking place. Now go back to the webpage where
you clicked the download icon, you will see “Accept and Install” so click it
and a popup will appear asking for your permission, click “Yes” then a dialogue
box appears where you have to click “Run”. The installation will start in your
PC/Laptop and a dialogue box appear to ask your permission, click “Yes”. Again
go back to the webpage where you clicked the download icon, it will ask you to
Enter the name of the computer, fill in as you like then click “Next”. Now it
will request you to choose a PIN with at least 6 numbers. You'll need this
PIN to connect to your PC/Laptop remotely and then click “Start”. Now it will
show your PC name and status “Online”. PC/Laptop setup is done, now let's go to
the smartphone from which you want to control your PC/laptop. You can use an
Android or an IOS device, just go to the play store or an app store
respectively and search “Chrome remote desktop” and install that app. To tell
you about the app I am taking the example of an Android smartphone as it is
used by the majority of the people. Open the app and you will see that your Gmail
is already linked with the app, if not log in with the Gmail account which is
connected with your Google Chrome browser. In the app, it will show your PC
name and you just have to click it and then a
popup comes asking for your PIN which you have set before on your PC,
enter it and click “Connect”. You will see the whole desktop on your phone and
you can interact with your PC by hovering the cursor with your touch on the
smartphone screen or display. Also, when you are connected with the PC, the PC desktop
gives you a permanent dialogue box where you can click “Stop sharing” to stop
the connection. Let's go back to the mobile app, what all you can do to
interact with the PC thru your smartphone.
1.
You can watch the desktop in portrait mode or
landscape mode.
2.
You can pinch to zoom in or out
3.
You have
2 modes to interact on the top right corner,
Trackpad mode or touch mode, click it to change modes
4.
You can type with the help of your mobile
keyboard into the computer, just touch keyboard icon on the top right corner.
Lastly, you will find three dots at the top right corner,
Click the dots, you will see a menu with “Send Ctrl-Alt-Del” which we can use when the computer stops
responding and we can use the task manager to kill the task and make the PC
working again. Next is “Resize desktop to fit” it is used when you zoomed in or
out and you want to fit the desktop according to your mobile screen or display.
Next is “Disconnect” I guess that’s
simple, just click it to end the session. Last but most important “Help” if you
need any help regarding the app or the process of it. Let's go back to PC/Laptop
and open the Google chrome browser and key in the same website and now you will
see on top “Remote Access” and “Remote Support”, click “Remote Support”. You
will see 2 boxes, “Get Support” and “Give Support”, you can give access of your
computer to anyone by just clicking the “Generate code” under getting Support
and then you have to give the code that is generated to another person to
access your computer from his computer by just going to the same website and enter
the code in the Give Support box. You can do this vice versa but another person
must have linked his PC with the website or Chrome Remote Desktop.
